This still life painting is one of a series that I have done of one of my lovely little jug collection that I hang on my kitchen dresser! This one was painted using acrylic paints and has lots of layers of glazes to give a richness and depth of colour. I love the combination of blues and fresh yellows, but also painted a depth of colour in the ceramic glazes which include subtle greys and mauves. When I was painting it on my easel, some of the painting glazes started to run down the canvas and I nearly wiped them off, but decided to keep them as I think they add to the composition and look quite contemporary!
Sealed with a coat of Loxley varnish so this can be hung in a kitchen and wiped clean with a damp cloth. No need to frame as it has covered and painted sides to the canvas, but I have photographed it in a recycled frame which can be included free in the sale if you would like it (please mention when you buy!)
