50 x 50 cm
Acrylic and Spray Paint on Cradled Wood Panel (2cm depth)
This had been a little drawing in my sketchbook for years and I finally got round to making it. My “cover version” of one of David Hockney’s Splash paintings. I remember seeing a clip of Hockney talking about how he liked the idea of somebody walking into the painting along the diving board, so I extended my diving board right to the edge.
I started a version of this a while ago, but that ended up becoming the four After Zero apocalypse paintings I made earlier this year.
The painting is unframed but ready to hang.
