I really like the contrasting colours of the red flower and green stem and leaves of this type of tulip and enjoyed getting a matt surface to the picture as if it was in a newspaper.
It was also an exercise in knowing when to stop chasing the drawing as even a cut flower will move around quite a lot during a day of painting.
