A peaceful and meditative piece. A view in a stolen moment caught just as the first subdued light finds the woodland floor, carpeted in bluebells,
This is from a photograph taken in the early morning in the woodlands close to my home. This beauty of these woods in all seasons has me returning again and again.

This painting is an example of overpainting working from a warm ground colour, in order to bring to life the delicate shades of the bluebells added later in the layering. The painting is on a deep edge canvas, and painting extends onto the edges .
