Yes, this etude is more than 8 years old. It was a wonderful winter. The winter was snowy and affectionate. I remember coming out dressed not very well for a frosty day. There was no wind, and the smoke from the stove was so joyful, and the old woman went out into the yard to feed her chickens with only one scarf over a warm dress, and all this created an almost pre-spring state. I worked in a great mood and didn't even freeze to the bone, I was so slightly frozen.
This is a small island of old life among tall houses on the bank of a small river. An old but strong fence, the main structure of the hut and a lot of attached sheds. I really like this village life in a big city. Apple trees are always so generously wrapped in spring with their pinkish flowers, now they were decorated like a bride with bright white snowflakes. It looked enchanting. I tried very hard to convey this solemnity, a sense of renewal, I admired and tried to absorb and remember the view. After all, what could be more beautiful and tender than snow? Only white flowers.
The work is painted on primed canvas (linen/cotton) with premium quality oil paints. The work has participated repeatedly in my personal exhibitions in the galleries of my town and in St. Petersburg.
I carefully pack the work in cardboard, strengthening the corners additionally. The painting will come to you from Russia. It takes to Europe and other countries usually from 10 to 15 days. In November and December it may take a bit longer. Therefore, please be a little patient, but as bonus real snow will come to you in large quantities directly from Russia.
