Artist's description:

Another work from my skyline series. This is a work which I made quite a few years back. I have always had a fascination and slight obsession with skylines. The shapes of rooftops and chimneys against the sky have a somewhat poetic quality to me, maybe a sentimental significance. When I played out in the back streets in my younger years I would find rich poetry in this commonplace subject matter against the ever changing skies and would find myself drawn to these views, clicking photos of them in my mind (long before the mobile phones of today!).

'Skyline Jazz' is a semi-abstract piece, with the visible skyline cutting through the main composition and the rest of the work marked by energetic, thick lines and networks of fine crosshatching.

This is an original etching and aquatint print pulled from a zinc plate and printed on top quality somerset printmaking paper.

Your print will come wrapped in protective tissue paper to reach you in the best condition.

If you have any questions relating to the work before purchase please don't hesitate to ask me.
