Artist's description:

catnapping in a sunny corner, taking it very easy, just relaxing and letting life walk past for a while, maybe there is something for us to learn there?

WHAT IS A LINOCUT?: a 6 color linocut print reduction, this means that as I am printing the very short edition of 12 prints I cut away areas to keep the colour I just printed. When I am done, the plate is unusable, and I only save it to as proof of it being mine. I love this technique, it ihas a certain degree of serendipity to it, and the short editions makes it more fun for the artist (me ;o)! Cutting the lino plate is like sculpting, it is important to think of direction of cut, how much to leave and how much to take away. I have a fondness for printing the cut, I love the texture it gives to the finished print.
All my lino prints are printed by me, printmaking is my big love!

SIZE: " Sin Prisa" is Spanish for "no Hurry", I thought that was a good title for a cat nap. The linocut is printed in contemporary colors on a warm beautiful piece of velvety Canson printmaking paper,
the image measures 12" x 22.5" ( 30 cm x 57 cm)
and paper is 15" x 27". (38 cm x 68 cm)
I have signed, titled and numbered the print.
Please note, you might not receive the number in the photo.
Always bear in mind that linocuts are handprinted, that is, small variations do occur from print to print.

SHIPPING: I'll mail it to you protected by tissuepaper and a cellophane sleeve so it arrives safely. It comes with a flier explaining what a lino reduction is. If it is a gift, let me know and I'll giftwrap!
Thank you for looking in my shop, and welcome back.
