I decided to reach Grado after a strong storm that flattened the whole beach. Several objects had emerged, one in particular had caught my attention. From a distance it looked like an ancient medieval banner, a flag fallen in battle. As I got closer, the image became clearer. Now I understood. Instead it was a fragment, what remained of an old deckchair, probably. Seduced by the thought that initially struck me, I then decided to detect the object through a cast, to take it to the studio, veiling it with a blue color and baptizing it with the new meaning I had imagined, that of a mysterious heraldic sign.
