This work was dedicated to Cyprus. Therefore, in addition to many Cypriot objects, Venus, which is believed to have been born on the island of Cyprus, was used in the design. Normally Venus is depicted with neither a shield nor a spear. In this work, Venus is depicted with a spear and a shield, as it represents Cyprus, which has had to defend itself throughout history.
Materials used:
The artwork printed with matte black, red water based inks and varnish.
