This is another one of my older pieces from several years ago; a somewhat fanciful portrait of a friend who is a hairdresser by profession. The multiple arms are a meant to suggest the Hindu goddess Kali, a play on the model’s name (Kelly) as well as on the exaggerated violence suggested in the title.
