Shade is a postcard sized print of the moment you look up on a hot day in the sun and enjoy and appreciated a simple sunshade keeping you cool. The contrast between the blue sky, the cream material the light and shade, the cool and hot.
This is a reduction linocut, where all the colours are printed by repeated printing and cutting of one block of Lino.
The paper used is Italian 300gsm Rosepina Bianca and the inks are oil based Caligo inks.
The paper size is 21.3cm by 16.4cm. Printed area 15.3cm by 10.2 cm or 6x4".
