These paintings form a triptych of work exploring the concept of See No, Hear No and Speak No Evil. These were painted in 2004 after the conflicts had started in Afghanistan and Iraq. It explores the pain the U.K. citizens were going through at a time when people did not want to get involved in another war (Iraq) and the angst Adam suffered at the time seeing so much war and conflict happening in the world. He did not want to See, Hear or Speak any evil or ill will - choosing to put into paint how he felt.
