Original artwork description:

The Yorkshire Sculpture Park is a source of endless inspiration, drawn from both the beauty of its natural setting and the sculptures with which it is populated. As a space for displaying sculptures, the park becomes the art gallery setting – albeit one without white walls and library silence. Despite the ‘visual noise’ of the environment, however, the sculptures not only stand out, they positively sing in this setting. There’s a powerful contrast between nature and art, and this piece aims to capture the essence of that interesting contrast.

Materials used:

Card, acrylic paint and oil pastel.
