This delicate snowdrop study delights because of the organic granulation of the cerulean watercolour paint on the sublime handmade watercolour paper surface. This is Two Rivers paper made one sheet at a time using old methods in Somerset, England.

The snowdrop heads hand with fragile anticipation against a darker blue grey passage.

This would be a lovely image for the person who honours Imbolc and the first releases of flora from the hitherto sleeping ground.
