'Sailboat on Brighton Seafront'

The autumn sun is beautiful in Brighton. The sun comes low across the sky and washes bright light across the water, constantly shimmering. I had wanted to paint the boats along the seafront for some time and picked out this composition as I liked how the dark silhouetted mass of the boat and mast touched the brilliant light on the sea.
