Political surreal symbolic painting about war in Ukraine:
"Russia behind the Red Line"

The state is the people who inhabit it.
This symbolic portrait of Russia was painted by me in an attempt to understand the meaningless cruelty, rage, and confidence in one's own superiority that Ruscism embodies. It is not an ideology in the full meaning of the term; Ruscism is a peculiarity of thought, an incurable disease of the culture of the people of Russia.

Blind trust in the actions of the government, due to fear nurtured over many generations. The belief that Russians are God's chosen people with a special "just" mission, despite the fact that Russia is home to many nationalities with a suppressed culture and volition. The Cult of Power and the Cult of Poverty, which have morphed into a habit and hatred of each other and of those who strive to progress. The Neo-Feudal State structure successfully mixed these and many other ingredients in the minds of Russians, and phantom pains about the "great" Soviet Union became the catalyst for the progression of this disease. Then, the Cult of "Victory in World War II," which Putin imposed, did everything else.

Unfortunately, the population of an entire state is not a small child who has reached a dead end and can simply be led out of there by hand and shown where to go. It's a sick old man who has been forcibly put back into the old war robot.
