Roundism – 19-02-18
In my ever quest for roundism I was attracted to the female body’s position showing diagonals and triangles. I tried to counterbalance them by throwing in some vertical and horizontal lines that, although not very dominant still put the model into some kind of grid, while the round and diagonal structures are rendered with heavy tonal differences. That is due to my love for cubists / art deco artists like Tamara de Lempicka.
Graphite pencil drawing (Pentel 0.5 mm, 3B) on Strathmore Bristol paper (21 x 29.7 x 0.1 cm) - A4 format)
