"Roses" is a small painting by Mary Kemp.
On my morning walk I pass a house with a neglected garden, but each year the roses bloom spectacularly. They are so beautiful and unblemished I have a great urge to cut a few. But what if someone saw me? So I walk on and leave them.
To paint this I used thick oil paint on a wooden board.
I've left it unframed but it will slip seamlessly into a 6" x 6" (15 x 15 cm) photo frame. Or you could just prop it up on a shelf in a contemporary sort of way!
