Fiery red hues were used for this pain9ng to create the dark swirling clouds. Their scarlet shades a drama that invites you to explore the secrets they conceal - what shapes do you see amongst the clouds? Next, I carefully blended shades of cadmium red and burnt sienna for the body of water below the vibrant sky. And then, I introduced the enigma9c shiny dot, reflec9ng its light upon the water. The dot remains ambiguous, leGng you imagine what it is. Is it a solitary boat, or the sun, peeking from behind the cloud cover? Or the moon?
