In my art cycle Mundus Novus, I explore the theme of artificial intelligence (AI) through the use of Renaissance landscapes and elements of mythology. The Renaissance was a period of great cultural and intellectual renewal in Europe, marked by a focus on humanistic values and the rediscovery of classical learning. This emphasis on humanism and the classical world is relevant to my investigation of AI, as the use of artificial intelligence often raises questions about the nature of humanity and the relationship between humans and technology.

As an artist, I aim to take a different approach to this subject by using Renaissance landscapes and elements of mythology as a visual metaphor for my exploration of AI. By depicting these timeless and iconic landscapes and incorporating elements of mythology, I seek to engage with the cultural and intellectual history of the past in order to better understand the present and future of AI. The beauty and majesty of the Renaissance landscape serves as a backdrop for these themes, highlighting the potential of AI to enhance or augment human experience, while also raising concerns about the potential consequences of relying on technology.

One of the main goals of my art cycle Mundus Novus is to avoid the trap that many artists fall into, in which AI is demonized or portrayed as a threat to humanity. Instead, I seek to present a more nuanced and balanced view of AI, one that recognizes both its potential benefits and its potential risks. By using Renaissance landscapes and elements of mythology, I hope to create a sense of timelessness and universal appeal that will encourage the viewer to consider the deeper implications of AI in a more thoughtful and open-minded way.

Overall, the use of Renaissance landscapes and elements of mythology in my art cycle Mundus Novus allows me to delve into the complex and multifaceted theme of AI in a way that is both aesthetically pleasing and intellectually challenging. By taking a different approach to this subject and seeking to avoid the pitfalls that many artists fall into, I hope to offer a fresh perspective on the role of AI in our lives and the ways in which it will shape our future.
