Original artwork description:

This painting on oil paper was created with a combination of palette knife and large brushes. This is one of those paintings that helped me in progressing and moving towards a looser style of expressionistic painting. The bold brush strokes and palette knife blending really emphasise the drama of late summer skies here in North Yorkshire. This view is near Newburgh Priory close to the village of Coxwold at the foot of the North York Moors.
