The definition of a remnant is "a small remaining quantity of something." This image is from my series "Remnants." They are the remains of something. The remains for forgotten images, what is left of an overexposed print, and the small remaining quantities of darkroom chemistry. They are the toss-offs and discarded put to new use. They are the forgotten and neglected to find their place. This image series is about not discounting the quality and uniqueness of those often cast aside. We do have a purpose, we do have beauty, and we do contribute. These images are one of a kind. Nothing else is like them.
