Original artwork description:

"Ready to Pour" is a 7 x 5 oil painted in the classical tradition. It features a vintage wine bottle with the original wax seal along with a pear and a cork.
I was originally influenced to do these small works after seeing a Joaquin Sorolla museum show where huge walls were covered with hundreds of his small studies.

I paint alla prima, meaning in one sitting, and from life. All my work is done using professional and archival paints on canvas or linen.

I believe everyone should be able to have and enjoy original art, so as a daily(ish) painter I offer these smaller works for sale here and during my studio shows.

The painting will be varnished, wrapped in waxed paper, and packing material to prevent damage. I try to use recycled materials whenever possible in shipping.

Because all computer screens are calibrated differently, colors may differ on different monitors. Most paintings have much more nuanced colors in person. I want you to be totally happy with your paintings, so of course, if you aren't, you are welcome to return it.

The painting will fit in to a standard frame. If you would like framing suggestions email me. I'd be happy to help.
