Original artwork description:

This expressionist painting shows a very common scene in Uruguay and perhaps in most of the world. Women who meet and talk, between drinks and mysteries about their lives. The scene is almost an account of a situation and I must say, I have lived it and there is nothing like that kind of complicity of communications when women meet. There is a story, there is a certain mystery, why are they looking at each other, what are they talking about, who are these characters, and of course the ever present feminine coquetry. I love to paint these scenes, which I have lived myself.... It is very common in Uruguay that the "Chicas" meet in a bar or "Boliche", to enjoy a good time together. There is an intentional search for the deformation of the figures so that precisely the impression arrives more directly. Lots of texture, defined areas in color, palette knife and brush, and faces that evade realism or perfection to give that impact in the expression and in the looks, it is a unique work.
