Original artwork description:

A painting that explores the relationships between painting, sculpture and typographical work. The artwork uses found materials from walks in the Quantocks and along the coast of Watchet, collecting rocks and soils for use as pigments, creating a view remembered from the walk, exploring compostion, poetics and the aestheticism.

Samuel Coleridge and his philosophy of Romanticism served as the muse/ inspiration for this work.

Materials used:

Oil, Ink, Soil, Rock and Pigments on Paper.
