Painted on-site at Lyndale Park in Minneapolis, MN. Features a group of purple poppy flowers accented by orange and golden yellow marigolds and burgundy purple ornamental foliage. Watery effects in the background are created with water-based casein paint, whose matte texture contrasts with the thicker, glossier oil. Painted on board with both palette knife and brush. The shapes of the flower petals are enhanced by shaping of the oil paint with palette knife.
Framed in a 3" wide wood frame with a dark cherry brown finish and ridged black outer edge. May be purchased unframed by request. This piece will make a cheerful and stunning addition to any room in your home or work space, or a fabulous gift for a special occasion.
