Artist's description:

PROJECT CARBON is large group of images I have created using various materials in the construction of photographic images and illustrations, that work harmoniously in the final presentation, providing the viewer with a unique artistic experience.

The photograph is composited on a tattered piece of canvas and held to a composite carbon fibre backdrop by aluminum studs.

In this image, THE SPIRIT OF WINDSOR, ENGINE 5588 is presented as a photograph converted to a monochrome illustration. The engine was build in Montreal in 1911 and was active on the CNR rails of Southwestern Ontario until retirement in 1961. It now sits along the waterfront in Windsor, Ontario Canada.

Materials used:

Canon 7D mk ii, Photoshop CC 2015, Wacom Tablet, Archival Quality Canon Paper
