I specialise in hyper-realistic animal and pet portraits. This pastel drawing shows a group of female African elephants protectively walking alongside their precious calf.
The soft evening light highlights areas on the elephants bodies. The dusty earth creates a softness around their feet as they walk.
Precious One is drawn on Clairefontaine Pastelmat using professional lightfast soft pastels. The bespoke grey frame was selected to complement the artwork. The artwork is mounted using an acid free double mount in a soft white and the glass used is Tru Vue Ultra Vue glass which blocks 70% of damaging UV light. It also has very low reflectivity to enable the viewer to clearly see the artwork.
The drawing comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity and care information.
