I was impressed by how the tall tower suddenly rises above the narrow streets of Prague. How the morning light picks out the details of the street and buildings. The sparkling winter air fills the square with the radiance of the holiday, the bustle, and the expectation of Christmas. Crowds of people and tourists rush to enjoy the decorated city and hot pastries on the Old Town Square. I wanted to convey this joyful excitement, the fullness of the air with the mood of the holiday through watercolors in wet technique. These fills and flashes of spots reflect the impression of the place and the saturation of emotions.
