In China, many people think contemporary artworks are abstract, and the others are traditional. In their opinion, if the artwork is hard to understand, then it is modern, otherwise it is ordinary style. I totally do not agree. I try to express contemporary artwork via elements from traditional culture and create the modern from the old.
The colorful clouds in the sky are regarded as auspicious clouds in traditional Chinese culture, and the sea water and waves symbolize wealth. The meaning of the whole picture symbolizes peace and tranquility.
