Artist's description:

Original ink drawing of a man's face drawn in April 2017, 200gsm drawing paper paper and Indian ink. This is an expressive line drawing with line variations created by the use of an ink dropper, this gives the Artwork a fresh and immediate simple style where my 'working out' can be seen and enjoyed. I have left the image with only partial outlines adding a sense of mystery and allowing the image to be completed in the imagination of the viewer.

My simple ink drawings remain the backbone of my work and I will always return to them as they are often the basis and the inspiration for new work and ideas. this portrait drawing came about as I decided to spend a day producing a series of quick ink drawings of faces - the set of drawings started with a traditional dip pen and developed with a gradually looser approach using different tools and mark making, The features of each portrait became more stylised with each one and most are of generic faces, as with this one - you can see the full set in my Artfinder shop.

Drawn because I am motivated by a love of drawing and as an entry to the Artwork a Day project of which you can see the Collection here:
