Artwork description:

A study of a vibrant blue-purple poppy anemone, from the colourful botanical series "Chroma".

I chose the subjects for this joyful floral art series for their exquisite detail, delicate colour and natural symmetry. Many of the flowers were grown in our garden and others grown by a friend, just a few miles from my studio. Each of the floral portraits have one dominant hue, and I create a coloured physical background, based on a specific colour carefully selected from a petal of the individual flower, which are designed to complement each other perfectly.

A Limited Edition, museum-quality pigment ink print, created using fine-art paper and archival inks. Other sizes are available.

Materials used:

Photo Rag fine art paper; archival pigment ink.
