Original artwork description:

Usually as I start painting, I go with the flow and colors appear on canvas as they appear in my mind. While creating this artwork I was constantly surrounded by the thoughts of plastics accumulating in the ocean and how hazardous it is to the ocean and marine life. The increasing plastic waste in the ocean is taking away the marine life and its beauty while posing serious health hazards to poor creatures and off course the mother earth. In my artwork, the black depicts the plastic accumulation in the ocean and how it is maligning the beautiful marine life.

On a personal note, I appreciate the efforts taken by governments and various institutions to reduce the plastic usage. We must act upon this as plastic is hazardous to everyone humans and animal, alike.

This artwork is my entry for "Portraits from the Precipice".

Painting is protected with a thin layer of varnish and unframed.
