The winged sandal of Perseus the mythic Greek slayer of Medusa and various other fictional beasts. Medusa can be an often misunderstood fictional female, I suggest to anyone to look past her seething locks.
This foot is drawn from the statue of Perseus and Medusa in Lyon's Musée de Beaux Arts and is a continuation of a series where I try to rekindle the simple joy of drawing (it's working so far!)
These A4 sketchbook drawings have a special place in my heart as they are slowly changing the way I make artwork, allowing me to decrease the pressure to produce and enjoy the process of creation more. Enjoyment in what you do is something that the modern owner/manager's brain struggle to understand, insisting their working choose efficiency and output over everything. Don't forget, the numbers don't mean a thing.
