Yesterday, I was invited to participate in a painting/fundraising event at the Vaughan Historic Homestead in Hallowell, Maine. It was a lovely garden and they did a great job organizing the event. Unfortunately the wonderful weather that we had been enjoying for the past several days did not hold. It was overcast most of the day and started to rain in earnest around 4:30, and the temps dropped to about 56. But, people showed up! I was happy to have sold one painting, although I forgot to photograph it. Here is the first one I painted in the morning - they peonies were in full bloom!
