As a synaesthete I 'see' music, words, letters and numbers in colour. I use the lightshow I experience during a particular track with the emotions and snapshots of memory it evokes to create these abstract works.
All the songs I use for my non commissioned work are songs that particularly move me, those with a certain resonance in my own lifetime, and those that provoke the strongest reaction from the synaesthesia.
This is Pennypusher by Secret Black Boyfriend.
SBB are a 3 piece local to Farnborough, UK and I'm happy to say are friends. Their sound is dynamic, reminiscent of Shellac (one of my favourite bands) and offers something I find quite inspirational within my work examining the idea and presence of 'self'. I also like crunchy guitar sounds.
