Original artwork description:
This oil on a linen canvas was made in the artist's studio during the two months lockdown in France. As studies he used sketches and watercolours he had made on location in January. Palavas is a sea resort at the estuary of the Lez river (one of the shortest in France ) when it flows into the Mediterranean sea. The light is that of a sunny afternoon of January. Of course in the afternoon in the middle of the week in January, the place is quite deserted (fishermen sell their fish near their boats only in the mornings).This work is sold with a white floating frame. It's also available without a frame (but ready to hang).
