Pahana in Pali means abandonment. That word doesn't have a good connotation, does it? Abandonment is synonymous with loss, with farewell, with lack. Yet it is worth looking at it in a different way. Abandonment is an act of will, so the first thing we should remember is that it is our choice. Secondly, it is important what we give up. If it is an addiction, a toxic relationship, or an aggravating habit, then abandonment is an act of will toward freedom. This is how I would like to make you see this painting.

This artwork is painted on canvas stretched on wooden frame. I was using professional oil-colours with premium quality colour pigments that have high resistance to fading.
