This painting is part of the series called 'Lines and Shapes ' which is inspired by the various lines and shapes found in nature. The delicate stems seen in the summer grass, as represented in the painting 'Brindilles' (French for twig), is one example of this representation. This series is also very much inspired by my graphic design education, where the purity, simplicity of the work, and its 'Less is More' approach comes into focus in some of these artworks. Yet, a textured background for some is often the basis of this series. For this particular painting the simplicity and purity is indeed dominant, yet its textured background gives it a unique style. Could be matched up very nicely with 'Brindille' artwork.
The edges are painted so it can be hanged without a frame. However if one's wishes to frame this artwork, the canvas can be removed from the wooden frame, which is attached at the back with staples.
I have used Winsor Newton Acrylic Paints with varied tools mainly brushes here. Use of a UV Gloss Spray Varnish coating the painting to protect this art piece. Signed on the front and full name of the artist, the name of the painting and date are at the back of the painting.
Please note that I price my painting according to the size, the material used and the hours.
