Original artwork description:

Utilizing an Edwardian religious postcard as its inspiration, this image is inspired by the loss of old ways when the new ways swoop in. I like playing with religious imagery from cards and photos in my collection, and repurposing them to create new narratives. This image is drawn on a roughly A2 sized pieces of heavyweight cartridge paper, and utilises some gold leaf in its completion. The drawing is sold in a mount and frame, ready to hang.

Materials used:

graphite pencils on 220gsm heavy cartridge paper, matt varnished, gold leaf, gold acrylic
