Original artwork description:

Continuing my obsession with retro food and drink packaging, this latest painting shows a bottle of Orangina, the fizzy orangeade drink that seemed massively popular in the 80s and 90s during my youth. Orangina also weirdly reminds me of childhood holidays and continental excursions. I love it's iconic label and bottle design. It had a dappled surface like the skin of an orange.

As usual the subject is based against my trademark light blue background, and painting in my usual pop art style, aiming for graphic impact rather than realism.

The end result is a colourful painting that would brighten up any room in your home, or would make an ideal gift for someone with a sweet tooth.

It is painted in acrylics on thick high quality A4 paper. PLEASE NOTE: the painting doesn't come framed, but I've taken photos of it in a white A4 frame for display purposes.

I've been inspired to create work like this by classic pop artists like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Patrick Caulfield.
