An expressive and boldly painted portrait of a kitten caught moving her head. In my mind she is stepping out for the paparazzi to capture her in all her glory 'on the catwalk" or a selfie.
I started a series of metaphorical self-portraits in 2015 inspired by William Shakespeare's
monologue 'All the World is a stage" from As You Like It.
All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players.
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages.
Having so much fun with this serious and realising there is no way I can put all stages into the original seven ages, I decided to continue with a sub category - of important moments in life but portrayed by animals.. this friends kitten made me think of all those times young people 'strut' there stuff, with hair flicking and poses.
