Artwork description:

In medieval England all able-bodied men were supposed to keep up archery, in readiness for some national emergency. The uncultivated ground called 'Campingland' in Swaffham was earmarked the local place to practice. Today you may innocently wander there without such obligation yet other arrows are already in flight. An arrow crossing the picture's border represents something as yet unknown, entering the frame of someone's life. It's strike may bring love or war. Either way, their life is about to change.

This print was pulled from images cut from rubber and printed on an etching press in an edition of 7. All materials are of high quality and should present no keeping difficulty. Please feel free to contact me to put a question or make a remark. If you would like this print in a flat natural oak frame 9.5 x 12.6 inches at a price of £120 delivered, I would be happy to create the listing for you.
