I was visiting Southwell Minster to see the Ian Scott Massie, Places of Pilgrimage exhibition. It was a lovely day and I decided to take a few shots of the exterior. The people walking up the path turned out to be clients who had visited me at my open studio exhibition. They were more than happy to think they might be included in one of my paintings.

It is situated six miles from Newark-on-Trent and thirteen miles from Mansfield. It is the seat of the Bishop of Southwell and Nottingham and the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham.
Acrylic on a Loxley gold traditional canvas with black frame. Protected with polymer satin varnish. It is supplied ready to hang, fitted with ‘D’ rings and picture cord.
