Original artwork description:
One of a series of four paintings of the same location at different times of the year. The location is the small island (ait) of Oliver's Island at Strand On The Green on the River Thames in West London. Apparently Oliver Cromwell and his followers stayed there at the time of the Civil War, hence it's name. Unfortunately the poplar trees on the island are no longer there.
