Oil painting Portrait of an officer Alexander Arkadievich Litvinov

As the brush glides across the canvas with gentle, deliberate strokes, the portrait of an officer takes shape, coming alive in a captivating symphony of colors and textures. The scene unfolds in the midst of a serene winter landscape, where a sense of chilly tranquility pervades the air. The officer stands tall and proud, his gaze commanding and resolute. Every detail of his regal presence is meticulously captured, celebrating his distinguished stature. Adorned in a majestic winter coat, its luxurious fur cascades over his broad shoulders and envelops his neck, providing a shield against the biting cold. The fur, meticulously rendered in tones of soft ivory and delicate sepia, radiates a sense of warmth and opulence. The officer's coat is adorned with a striking collar, a bold and vibrant red that serves as a resplendent contrast to the surrounding wintry palette. The deep, velvety crimson adds a touch of richness and authority to his ensemble, accentuating his esteemed position. The mastery of the artist's brushwork allows the collar to possess a palpable texture, its fibers seemingly begging to be touched. In the officer's hands rests a cane, its polished wood reflecting the ambient light with a subtle sheen. The cane symbolizes both elegance and authority, a steadfast companion on his journey through life. It exudes an aura of sophistication, its presence adding an air of gracefulness and refinement to the composition. In the background, a glimpse of a timeless church emerges from the snowy veil. The soft hues of pale gray and muted whites hint at the tranquil serenity within, echoing the officer's own composed demeanor. Though partially obscured, the church serves as a reminder of the officer's devotion, his unwavering faith serving as a guiding light amidst the wintry challenges. The wintry landscape encapsulates the essence of the season. Cold winds whisper through the trees, causing delicate snowflakes to dance gracefully in the air, gently blanketing the ground. The artist's deft touch captures the unique texture of the snow, illuminating its crystalline structure as it catches the faint light of a waning winter sun. Titled "Portrait of an Officer," this masterful oil painting encapsulates the strength, dignity, and resilience of its subject. Through the meticulous interplay of colors, textures, and emotions, the artist immortalizes the essence of a noble figure, capturing a moment frozen in time for generations to come.

About the artists: Alexander Arkadievich Litvinov was born on May 18, 1967 in the city of Lubny. He graduated from the Lubensk secondary school № 1. One of his favorite lessons was drawing. I was even more attracted by studies at an art school, where boys and girls were introduced to high art thanks to the wise teachers Vasily Semenyuta, Anatoly Kharchuk, Nikolai Korablev, Tamara Moshnikoviy. Especially in his artistic development, Alexander owes to Vasily Ivanovich Semenyuta, his classical school of teaching, which he enriched in his time through his acquaintance with famous artists Alexei Asaulenko and Petr Likhin. And also an extremely important role in the passion for painting was played by the fact that Alexander's father, Arkady Petrovich Litvinov, was both a talented artist and an excellent teacher. He had 53 years of teaching experience - he taught drawing and drawing at the Lubensk school №8, many of his students connected their professions with artistic creativity. Alexander's elder brother, Oleg Arkadyevich Litvinov, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, now lives in Odessa, also chose the artistic path.

And after leaving school, Alexander served in the army, where his artistic talent came in handy - in Soviet times, visual agitation was highly valued. He served in Dnepropetrovsk, where two personal exhibitions of his paintings were organized. While still at school, Alexander began to design books, in particular, children's literature. He received his first creative fee in the tenth grade from the publishing house "Raduga" for the design of the book by Anatoly Rybakov "Krosh's Vacation". Later she studied at the Odessa Theater and Art School, specializing in "Decoration of puppet shows and artistic and props art."

Studying at the school and passion from childhood with historical and biblical literature greatly influenced the creative manner of the artist. He works in the style of the so-called figurative art, where the main thing is the image of the human body.
