A marvellous trip to India in 2014 has supplied many wonderful images for my paintings, but this Odissi dancer was part of a trio who were performing at an art fair in Oxfordshire UK. I had lots of time to study the mannered expressions of the dancers and occasionally one would see beneath the mask. This is a painting of that unguarded moment. The artwork is on superior rolled canvas board and has been varnished and ready for framing/hanging.
