I spent the day with the Pirbright Art Group on one of my very rare plein air painting expeditions at new Haw Lock on the Wey Navigation. This is an old waterway made up of river and canal which connects Godalming with the Thames
No longer commercial, the traffic is purely for leisure and is ectremely peaceful
In this painting two girls are operating the sluice gate inpreparation for their boat to come through
