A bluebell painting, started in the spring and which I felt needed a little finishing. I've tried to capture the vibrant greens of the new spring growth and the sparkle of the sunlight glinting through the leaves. The marks are rough, yet descriptive, which I like. I believe that oil paining's can show the application of paint, whilst describing the subject. This I think is a kind of impressionist approach.
Painted in the Spring of 2022. Oil on canvas 18 x 14 inches (about 45 x 35 cm).
