'Negative Space' is an art term that refers to the space between the objects in a composition; after finishing this image I saw just how important the red lines are, an after effect of the rows of coloured shapes. Although unplanned, they become as active a part of the work as the blocks of different colours.
I don’t try to ‘make’ the shapes in my images, but rather just start drawing and see what happens. The images are intuitive; they reflect my emotions and desires or are inspired by something in my surroundings.
Ultimately, what I’m after are the most stunningly beautiful, luminous, delicious colour combinations. I want to put colours together that fill your eyes with light; draw luscious, organic lines that make your mouth water, and create perfectly balanced compositions that feel like a light summer breeze flowing by.
I'm happy to also ship this artwork ready to hang in a simple white-glazed wooden frame. Frame costs 60 Euros. Shipping of framed work at no additional cost to standard shipping rate.
